About Shag in Raleigh
Carolina Shag is the state dance of North Carolina and the Triangle has weekly shag socials with beach music DJs. Raleigh has the biggest spread of styles in the Triangle: ballroom and shag socials, salsa and bachata nights at bars and studios, country swing, and weekend workshops. Glenwood South and North Hills are the busiest pockets.
