Contra dancing in the Triangle centers on Carrboro and Durham, always with live music and a walk-through so beginners can join. Raleigh has the biggest spread of styles in the Triangle: ballroom and shag socials, salsa and bachata nights at bars and studios, country swing, and weekend workshops. Glenwood South and North Hills are the busiest pockets.
