About Contact Improv in Raleigh
Contact improvisation is a partnered movement practice built on shared weight and touch; jams are open floors where anyone can enter or rest. Some experience or an intro class is usually expected before a jam. Raleigh has the biggest spread of styles in the Triangle: ballroom and shag socials, salsa and bachata nights at bars and studios, country swing, and weekend workshops. Glenwood South and North Hills are the busiest pockets.
