Contra dancing in the Triangle centers on Carrboro and Durham, always with live music and a walk-through so beginners can join. Carrboro is the Triangle's contra town. The Century Center hosts regular contra dances with live bands and a walk-through for newcomers, and Cat's Cradle band nights often turn into dance nights.
